Pink Glove Care

Pink Glove Care compared with a referral site

Both can help. They are not the same business, and the difference shows up in your phone.

What a referral site is

A referral or matching service does not employ caregivers. It collects your details and passes them to agencies in your area, and it is usually paid by those agencies for the introduction. Some of the best known names in senior care work this way. That model is legal and it is sometimes genuinely useful.

What tends to happen next

Because several agencies buy the same enquiry, several agencies call. Families describe the days after filling in one of those forms as the phone not stopping, and having to tell the same story about their mother five or six times. If you are already exhausted, that is a real cost.

One company. One call. You explain it once.

What happens when you contact us

Your request comes to Pink Glove Care and stays here. One company reads it. One coordinator calls you. If another provider would genuinely be a better fit for what your mother needs, we ask your permission before we share anything with them.

When a referral site is the better choice

If you want to compare several agencies quickly, or you are looking at assisted living and memory care as well as home care, a referral service can put options in front of you faster than calling one company at a time. If you are trying to find any provider at all in a rural area, breadth helps. We would rather tell you that than pretend we are the answer to every situation.

How to tell which one you are on

Look for who employs the caregiver. A home care company can tell you who is coming, what their role is and how backup works. A referral site cannot, because it does not employ them. Look at the form too: if it asks for your budget and your timeline before it tells you anything about the care, it is probably being sold.

The short version

If you want choice, a referral service gives you volume. If you want one company that answers, knows your mother’s name and can be held to what it wrote down, that is what we are trying to be.
