Printable Dementia Home-Safety Checklist

Print this room-by-room dementia safety checklist and review it with family and the person’s clinician. Check exits, cooking, medicines, falls, nighttime routines, emergency contacts and supervision. Revisit it after any fall, wandering event, hospitalization or meaningful change.

Identity and emergency plan

Keep a current photo, emergency contacts, clinician details, medication list and an agreed missing-person response plan.

Entrances and wandering

Check locks without blocking emergency escape, door alerts, outdoor hazards, identification and trusted-neighbor awareness.

Kitchen and medicines

Review stove safety, sharp tools, cleaning products, medication storage and who supervises doses.

Bathroom, bedroom and night

Check grab support, lighting, trip hazards, temperature, bathroom route and who responds overnight.

Who this is for

Families creating a shared written safety review

When this may not be the right option

A substitute for an individualized clinical, occupational-therapy or emergency assessment

Talk through the details

Ask Pink Glove Care for the current schedule, rate, minimum hours, screening details and agreement terms that apply to your family. Get the answers in writing before care begins.
